Wrestling Bios Presents - The Life and Career of "Test" Andrew Martin
Andrew Martin, better known as his ring name Test, made his WWE debut towards the end of 1998. Coming into the World Wrestling Federation in 1998 as a newcomer was no easy task, the Attitude Era had began picking up a ton of steam and new guys had to prove themselves both in the ring and in the locker room. Test was able to stick around in the WWF during the attitude era, leading to a career that had many ups and downs.
When Motley Crue showed up in the WWF to play some music to wrestling fans, their huge bodyguard was by their side. The bodyguard would also test the band's microphones, hence the name "Test" which Andrew would go on to become famous for. A few months after the Motley Crue performances, Test reappeared in the WWF, aligning himself with The Rock and The Corporation. From here, Test would go on to have a multi-year career with the WWE that included many title wins and some interesting storylines.
Many people will remember the Stephanie McMahon / Test wedding of 1999, the Test and Albert tag team, the "Un-Americans" stable, and Test's on-screen relationship with real life girlfriend Stacy Keibler. This video covers all these topics and more.

His music went so damn hard!
I forgot about him brings back good memories rip brother
Test: (To HHH) "Payback and Stephanie have one thing in common... They're both a bitch!" - Classic
"Blows to the head." picture of Stacy*.........I see whatcha did there! ;)
Test was one of many buried by Triple H
Another one who left us far too soon. So sad.
The Theme Remix was awwwwwwwsome !!!!!!!!!
U should do one on Booker t run in the wwe
For reals, WWE kinda selective of which it ain't fair. The likes of Shad, Van Vader, the very own Test, Chris Kanyon, Road Warrior were all ignored like no man's business. Wouldn't say much on Luke Harper Brodie Lee of which they shared and recognized him after complaints from fans and wrestlers, but e bottom line remains, they gets to acknowledge these guys they made em too
I'm addicted to these vids man
RIP Test .....Test left this world way too soon
Test was the big guy who moved fast in the ring. I remember the Stephanie storyline. Was really believable and that benefitted Test's character. If he would've turned heel instead of a typical big idiot, then who knows. I had a wrestling figure of him when i was young. I liked his big boot attack.
Man was so jacked he couldn't straighten his arms.
What you said about Benoit is sad but true :l.
I always thought he was so cool growing up and wanted to watch more of him. This sucks man.
Damn Wow was one of my favorite to . T&A was dope and HHH is a hater for stealing steph.
The problem is not that HHH stole the show and married stephanie instead of test and that is not the reason test did not became a bigger star .. its because test had no mic skills to help him further his career ..
I think there should be more mentions to or for Test.
horrible thing the stephanie angle. Just imagine how far he would have gone if hes ditched stephanie at the altar and had a repackage
If only Andrew had known how his fans truly felt about him, he might still be with us today. I remember the last time that I saw him... I gave him a hug that lifted him off his feet; and told him that I was proud of him. Even then, I saw in his face that he was still the small town boy that he always was; and that deep down, he wasn't happy. If only I could have said, or done something to intervene... my friend might still be with us. Andrew was, as Bret said, one if the good ones. 😢👍
@Ryan Oz Yes. I worked with him in nightclubs and bars... fought beside him, literally shoulder to shoulder... partied with him and other friends... etc... He asked me to go with him and another friend to train at Brett Hart's ranch, but I chose to pursue a career in Information Technology (which turned out to be the right choice for me). The three of us were the same height; and I was closer to Andrew's build, while our friend George was barrel-chested. I knew that Andrew could do well in the WWF/WWE, but being on the road so much... I suspect that he missed his family and friends.
you know him personally ?
Test was very handsome and tall, just my type. I enjoyed watching him wrestle, miss them attitude days
Very sad story, always liked Test such a wasted talent.
It's like Shane wanted to marry his sister this family is worse than mine 🤪🤣
His big boot was 😎👌
I always thought test was just taking the piss and called himself test because he was taking testosterone E
One thing worth mentioning is later in 2000, a now then Test did a promo to a then face HHH stating "when I was to marry Stephanie I was supposed to get money, power and watch my career skyrocket to the top. Then it was you who got the money, you who got the power and you who watched your career skyrocket to the top, while I sat back and let it happen". Watching this back, I now wonder how much of that was scripted, and how much of that was Andrew literally letting real feelings out there.......... at the time I didn't know any of this info so assumed it was a scripted promo but makes me wonder......
The only reason X -poc is in the history of Professional Wrestling is because of Trilple H Shawn Michaels and Stephanie McMahon
He layed down beside the others it sucks to say that it really is a tragic end
Brain injury was never taken seriously.
Test was in TNA before it was cool.
One of the most underrated wrestler ever , RIP Test
Test was one of my favorites with the pump handle slam and big boot.
The business should be doing more more to help the guys/girls they take in there employ. I lost a very dear friend who was a professional rugby player and I just wish the signs where noticed before they are taken away from us and were left with a void that can't be replaced!!!
Honestly, Test is up there with some of the best stars of the Attitude Era
I do know,no one will give a damn about my writing but I'm gonna write anyway. Test always looked me that,he had had something special.I always, tried to pick him in WM 2000 and WWE Raw 2002.Wish I had encountered him at once.Despite his gimmick,he looked always frankly.Wish WWE gave him a chance (if not in main brands,in ECW).But they screwed him up.Nowadays,no one even knows about him.So to say,WWE let him to be vanished.(Didn't give a tribute to in his memory,Didn't induct him to HoF.)But big man,I don't know if you see these comments in heaven, but you'll never be forgotten.I'll always remember you with your long blondie hair, sunglasses and your old attire(during 1998-2002).You'll always be remembered BIG GUY!
just one more thing to prove long nose is kind of a douche
Test really handsome on his face and his body
Short hair roided out Test wasn't the jam for me.
test was not a kiss ass like triple h
If he would have gotten the marriage story line with Stephanie maybe his career would have been different.
RIP Andrew he was very talented and extremely handsome 💔
Testicles Forever!!!
I REMEMBER TEST! The man helped revive the company in its most impressive most coveted and most precious era. The attitude era... I cant help, but wander if there was foul play involved. Either way I REMEMBER TEST!
Wwf hires test. Stephanie McMahon falls for test. Hhh falls for Stephanie. Test dies? Hmmm
I thought test was a great wrestler who had a dope name. I thought the E didn't know what to really do with him more so due to the amount of talent there. Test was the man
Anybody know who test wrestled on smackdown I think it was a hardcore match where he does a elbow drop into a trashcan I cant find info on this please help me
I forget which PlayStation wwe game it was but I always played as Test.
Never been a Stiner fan
I loved the Test and Stephanie story. Boy did I hate her for a long while after this.
This is the Man that made the Move Big Boot in wrestling he will be Missed but Not Forget #RIPTest
Love his moves Running Big Boot Pumphandle Slam Flying elbow drop Full nelson slam
Thank u something about test finally i loved him mid carder or not he was a great wrestler
I think a people have mentioned his match with brock at King of the Ring 2002 as a sleeper pick for a really good match people may not know about.
Big surprise that HHH buried someone.
I haven’t forgot about Test.
Well I wasn't a huge fan of Andrew "Test" Martin, but he was one of the best Canadian pro wrestler during his early years and he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Test!!!
The possibilities of storylines for all the attitude era roster was endless, they were so stupid at times...missed opportunities
The man Test did a Great Big Boot in wrestling of All Time and my favorite move
Just hearing his theme music got me pumped all over again. Sad he left too soon.
Man, Test was always around huh? I've never noticed that before.
All Canadians should have a moth pice except Jericho they all seem very Bret Hart bland his best promos were when he was moaning like in real life he actually rote a commlem for the Calgary sun saying he was screwed out of a fake belt that was given to him he didn't get on the radio thanking people let him beat them 4 the belt sorry really hate Bret but wat I was saying Canadians are like Lance can I b serious storm Chris murder Inc Benoit god there's so many bland wrestlers from Canada they were good in ring they just couldn't put sentences together so put Jimmy Hart or sumone like that with any Canadians except Jericho can u name a good promo a Canadian did??? Oh yea wat did I say at the start oh yea all Canadians are bland they need Paul heymens that's y Owen and Yoko had cornette cos u ever c Owens promos one he said I broke ur leg cos u were just to greedy Bret that's y I broke ur leg and I brake ur leg awkward slicence he 4 got his line and just kept saying I broke ur leg then saying I'll break ur leg Canadians really look like they do in South park with the mad heads they must b nuts not nuts like me boring nuts anyway good comment
test vs eddie at mania 17 is one of my favourite matches. fun fact, eddie accidentally falls from the ring apron
Wow, Look how wide S.Keibler shoulders are at 18:18. Plus the shoulders are wider than the hips. Hate to ruin some wet dreams but she was born on team Boy. (As if the relationship with G.Clooney wasn't a ☠️☠️ giveaway)
DEAR GOD GIVE US BACK TEST AND WILL GIVE U DREW HERNANDEZ !!!!
Triple h buried a lot of people Test was supposed to be a main card.
Guy deserved better...
Andrew Martin like so many have his life to the cutthroat pro wrestling industry to be forgotten.
Another corpse that HHH stepped on to make it to the top.
I always pretended to be Test while wrestling on the trampoline as a kid
It is so absolutely easy to become addicted to pain killers....especially when they help you function in your day...I've struggled myself for years with my own addiction...i feel for people who have lost their lives to these drugs... So very sad
21:59 Sadly he did lay down beside them
Test & HHH would have made an awesome stable tho
I need to buy a test shirt . Rip
rip test
"WWF is a shark tank" HHH doing what a shark supposed to do
RIP Test. Highly underrated
Since the beginning of both industries for whatever the reason professional wrestlers and pornstars usually die a tragic death.
As entertaining as the WWF/WWE is for us fans, it's not that enjoyable with the superstars. Too many has lost their lives and it makes you think, it's not for everyone.
We miss him
injecting test..
He was good but his character never really took. Not a lot of charisma but had a great look and moveset. He could have been used much better but it was just too crowded of great wrestlers at that time.
definitely in the top 5 of guys really screwed over by Triple H
I'm not in the Wrestling business, but I feel like the hardest part is watching your friend and coworkers die at such a young age. Rest easy Test!
Test was a great big man RIP Andrew Martin
His big boot finisher was outrageously good, really underrated but never forgotten
Yes ! Test was gonna be HUGE!! RIP bro, too soon indeed
Test in dx wouldve been perfect! I guess triple h felt a little intimidated he couldve gotten too big
Test , what a waste man :(
Test was very overrated and slept on kinda reminds me of Big Cass
Test was a great star...I remember him well, its truly sad
It has been a while , a really long time since I decided to mention a very short conversation with Drew. I had known him 28 years and his early days 21 22 years old we were in sales together and worked side by side. I remember him telling me that he was going to be a professional wrestler. I knew it was a dream of his, then all of a sudden he was gone. The next thing I knew was he signed with ( at the time) WWF which ofcourse became WWE. I had not been able to reach him until he show up in my old neighborhood. I didnt realize he was looking for me until my mother called and said Andrew came by to see you. I met with him later at one of our favorite hang out spots. Drew had told me and kept me up to speed on what he felt was really going on. He did a personal feelings for steph, no dought. Truthfully, as the media would and WWE would say that that broke his heart. No, no so much. Not according to my long time friend. I remember Drew a few months before his passing he told me that he felt as if he had been used. Which in turn made him feel useless. I will not go into detail but I will say this.....Drew ( Test) seen what others could not. Almost as if he knew he was more than a foot in the ground. R.I.P. brother....I'm sure not only me but many still miss you terribly....
Test should be in the hall of fame for everything he has done with and for the WWE TEST 2021 hall of Famer
Never thought I would click on this but damn I already saw everything else. Respects to the man & his family though, tragic.
Great video, still miss test a bunch, but I have to be contest what you said about Benoit. I disagree wholeheartedly, every wrestling fan remembers Benoit he was one of the best and consistent performers for the WWE. He gave his body, like all others for our petty enjoyment. Obviously no one "celebrates" what Benoit did to his wife and family, but we weren't there, we just see the outside of a man, but we never, never truly know what a man is going through, what he went through that pushed him over the edge. Only God knows. Benoit will always be a legendary in ring performer.
He was born in Whitby Ontario 😃
Respect from me, for telling what you think of the WWE's treatment of Test after his passing.
Looks like Test joined the club after all and it sucks rest in heaven big man✌🙏
Rip Test I remember you Big guy he was so smooth his Character
Test . Theme, big boot, looks had it ALL! just saw the armageddon 2000 ppl and man crazy how he had the McMahon family as his for that moment
I remember I hated him as a kid because he was a heel most of the time but he had great matches. He was an impressive performer. Shame Mr Shovel came in.
