The Career of The Undertaker Wrestling Bios series continues as we look at mid 2000 to mid 2002. The Undertaker had just reinvented himself as the "American Badass", a complete departure from the phenom's usual dark character. The American Badass Undertaker would ride motorcycles to ring, he would wear bandanas and jeans, and he would promise to make his opponents famous by destroying them in the ring.
In the year 2000, after the Undertaker made his triumphant return to the WWF, the phenom found himself teaming up with his storyline brother Kane once again. By the time Summerslam arrived, The Undertaker and Kane were on opposing sides, facing eachother in yet another match featuring the Brothers of Destruction going head to head. The rivalry didn't last long however, as the brothers found a new enemy in The Two Man Power Trip, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H.
When the Power Trip vs Brothers of Destruction feud ended, The Undertaker would have his hands full when WCW's Diamond Dallas Page made his WWF debut, and from here, Undertaker would defend the WWF when the Alliance invaded the World Wrestling Federation. After the Invasion, the Undertaker turned heel and, once again, Mark Calaway evolved his Undertaker character.
Topics and matches covered in this video include:
00:00 - Undertaker vs Kurt Angle at Fully Loaded 2000
03:51 - The Undertaker at Summerslam, Survivor Series and Armageddon
06:24 - The Brothers of Destruction vs The Two Man Power Trip

The Career of The Undertaker: American Badass 2000 - 2002

I try and block out this era of the taker from my memory in the same way wwe try’s to forget about Benoit Just terrible era for undertaker.
WTF is up with those pants at Survivor Series?
JR getting beat up by taker and made kiss vince’s ass with a Rolex on his wrist
And including limp bizkit rollin song also suits the undertaker because he rides a motorcycle
It really sucks that WWE have a hard on for burying WCW talent, unless it's someone who's past their prime like Goldberg
What a 🏍 down memory lane
Taker has a thing for blondes.
You gotta give Shane McMahon props for some of the stuff he did. Watching him jump from the top of the ramp to the scaffold is superb stuff from the boss' son.
THANK YOU TAKER!👿🌟👿
can't believe taker was not given the title during this run
You should do a career retrospective of Ric Flair.
He would have been a good terminator
The WWF/WWE had many opportunities to have great rivalries and matches between the WCW and WWF/WWE stars but they failed to properly use many of the WCW stars except certain ones and it was such a missed opportunity Also these are great videos and I enjoy watching them
That RVD hardcore match was pretty good from what I remember
Undertaker's heel turn in 01 was one of the worst heel turns in my opinion.
My favourite Biker Taker themes in order: -American Badass -You're gonna pay -You're gonna pay intro with instrumental -Rollin
I Say The 2002 Undertaker Was My Favorite He Was More Dangerous & Mad Skanless
Loving the DMX sample in the intro 👍😊
He originally wanted to be Ghost Rider but they couldn't get that approval Marvel Comics
Personally.... I think the stalker gimmick would of worked if it was Raven instead of DDP
You glossed over Undertaker's brief tag team championship with The Rock in the fall of 2000.
The 2nd Undertaker actor was much better than the guy.with black hair.
WB. I think you're missing a couple of months in 2000 when the undertaker came back in May at judgement day. It looks like that you just jump right to June at King of the Ring.
Money power respect
Those snake skin pants at SS 2000 tho...
Me and my wife just got to the debut of the american badass. And it will always be my favorite version of Taker even if the booking and angles weren't ideal. Him playing his real life persona was a breath of fresh air. His promos and just in general how he talked to other superstars was awesome. Taker has always been the top guy for me and this version of him/big evil was awesome.
DDP got a raw deal really the only good thing about DDP coming to work for the WWF was that we got to play as him in the WWF/WWE video games the Smackdown - Raw Vs. Smackdown series which I feel were the best Pro Wrestling video games to date and that's no disrespect to the N64 Guy's because I played and loved and still love all four of the AKI games released on the US N64 I still play them today but the Smackdown - Raw Vs. Smackdown series took it to the next level a level that still hasn't been surpassed.
Man you are doing a great job with these Undertaker career timeline videos keep them coming aside from the Original DeadMan black and grey/purple Big Evil was my second favorite version of Undertaker overall but definitely the best version of Biker Taker.
Was never a fan of this gimmick but it was needed to refresh the whole character and excuse the pun give it more life
Isn’t it 2000-2003?
The heel Big Evil Taker in 2001-2002 was the best Undertaker in the Biker era. A close second is the 2003 Taker when he returned after missing the remaining of 2002.
Sadly, it is mostly glossed over on here, but in the month or so from late April 01 until Taker's wife being stalked in May 01 was incredible to watch unfold. In that time, he sent Stone Cold through a window and attacked in an ambulance, after which he punched Mr. Mcmahon square in the face. Then the following Smackdown Taker took over Stone Cold's locker room before their match at Judgment Day. I enjoyed this portion of the face Undertaker, as he was allowed to simply be a rebel and though he didn't win the gold, he still kicked some major ass.
That Undertaker heel turn in late 2001 kinda didn't work because he still got cheered but it was great to see the Big Evil version of taker
Best version of Taker to me... honestly. I hated Ministry of Darkness Taker...
The gimmick was Undertaker bring himself and to tell you the truth, the American Badass was more like a modern-day Ghost Rider. Undertaker totally was and still a genius.
Rear taker attire no way out 2001 . How long did that attire last ?
Your videos are good
How's about a Kevin Sullivan or Terry funk or Jim Cornette bio next ?
Cornette!!!!
The whole Undertaker Kane feud around this time was set up because it was supposed to be The Big Show who was his opponent, the announcers even started putting up the group with Shane, Show, Angle, E&C and Benoit as "The Coalition" around this time, but they just had about enough with Show and sent his arse to OVW.
L-I-M-P BIZKIT IS RIGHT HERE!
Best, most aggressive Undertaker. He had the most personality here.
I enjoyed this character. I wish it'd had more life. And I forget how jaaaacked Kane was back then
The version of taker that was the closest to mark callaway
I love this gimmick
His big evil gimmick is my all time favorite. He was so vicious.
Not gonna lie, some of these remixes are better than the actual songs.
In the rushed Taker vs Kane Summerslam 2000 feud, the main reason Undertaker was thrown into a feud with Kane last second is because Big Show (who was scheduled to have the match vs Kane at SS) became out of shape and was quickly and quietly demoted to the WWE developmental center to shape up (thus why he didn't return until Royal Rumble 2001) and my guess is the WWE figured who better to rush in as a replacement than Undertaker.
This was one of the best versions of Kane after betraying his brother
I wish Undertaker kept his look from late 2001-mid 2002 more. He was an true evil biker with no respect to anyone.
I thought he was going to stay this way for the rest of his career
Big Evil was a better heel than Ministry
Please do a kiss my ass club bios! My favorite part of the ruthless aggression era
I liked "you will respect me" undertaker
Big Evil was great. He really reinvigotaed his career.
So... when you gonna start releasing these mixes of yours? They very well done
It’s ended too soon 👎🏼
Flair vs taker stole the show
Link to the rollin remix?
Shocking that taker didn't get the run instead of rock, hhh or Austin. That's when I lost interest. This undertaker should've had a long run
I liked the stalker story but it wasn't meant for DDP
I was not happy with the Graveyard match with AJ Styles
I loved it What didn't you like?
I’ll never understand why DDP would leave Kimberly to stalk Sara.
that's a pretty sick take on his "Rollin'" theme in the intro.
I wonder what it will be like if he kept this gimmick in 2004-2020
lol Yeah that one made sense. Flair was world renowned for keeping everything fair and square.
Wrestling Bios should do a documentary about the history of the WWE as a company decade to decade (at least from the 70s to now)
I started watching during the short hair biker taker period and that's still probably my favorite version to this day.
Limp Biscuit was basically the house band @ that time.
I’d love episodes on The WCW Powerplant, King Kong Bundy, Lita, Hacksaw Jim and Eddie Guerrero. Love this series!
Worst gimmick ever!!
Love the video. Had to replay 14:12 to 17:04 because of the FIYAH background music!!! I make beats too and am I fan!!!
Your intro sounds like a teen show intro
This was little bit before time I became WWE fan, I remember starting watching in May or June or July of 2002, I remember Rey Mysterios debut and John Cenas debut. Also Hulk Hogan came to ring with Jimi Hendrix Voodoo Child theme. I remember in 2002 and 2003 The Undertaker was in Smackdown!
Are you gonna put the intro song on Spotify like the ministry one?
Tazz the human stuttering machine
Long hair ABA Undertaker simply sucked, but short hair ABA Undertaker, oh boy, he was something else
Big evil undertaker is the best heel character in the early 2000s until Brock Lesnar show up and dominate wwe
Wat if the Undertaker would of joined the Alliance in '01!?
Wrestling Bios: “Ken”
American Badass Undertaker is the best Undertaker.
I liked it better when he was with Paul Bearer
The original undertaker character is obviously undefeated, but this taker is prolly my favorite. One of the best character transformation in my opinion
You keep referring to Kane and Undertaker as brothers. They aren’t! Why do you present your bios in Kayfabe?
Why shouldn't he?
These videos slow covid 19
I must've mentioned similar here before, but the sentiment remains, this Taker, & Hollywood Hogan were my favorite renditions of these legendary character's careers, (perfect contrasts to their earlier runs prior, & really freshened up their runs at the time(s)) & I feel this Taker, is somewhat underappreciated the ways I've heard it spoken about. (Can't forget Black & Red Kane while I'm at it. Didn't quite re-freshen their runs like the two legends named prior but nevertheless.. 🍻
The best gimmick in wrestling, EVER.
Best gimmick of taker.. love the entrance..
Takers return as Deadman in 04 wouldn’t haven’t meant anything if 00-03 Taker era didn’t happen. Sometimes we need to miss something to appreciate it more
Son of a bitch. That’s a hell of a cliffhanger. I loved 2003 Undertaker.
I always liked the Undertaker American Badass character but I hate that shitty Limp Bizkit intro music.
😎
Undertaker 1987-2020 #GOAT 🐐👑💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Do you have Instagram account for wrestling bios
DDP was the man of WCW so wwe Buried him
Biker Taker kicks Deadman Takers ass
While this character/gimmick is great as a stand-alone, it doesn't fit at all with the other characters/gimmicks of The Undertaker.
I know it was for only a day, but how do you skip Taker & The Rock winning the Tag Team Titles in December 2000?
I forgot about that. I wish that their reign would've lasted longer.
I guarantee that this was the happiest time of Taker's career. He got to speak normal, be a proud Texan. And wrestle and walk normally. Although he did have a lot of crotches in his face with The Last Ride.
I agree about DDP. I was looking for a great series of matches between them but never happened. I have a feeling that it was Vince's idea. He squashed a lot of former wcw guys
Always hated relationship related story angles. So cringy.
