Wrestling Bios Presents - “The Story of Sting in WWE”
When the man called Sting walked into a WWE arena in 2014, it felt like the final piece of the WCW puzzle had finally arrived in Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment. The most popular and loyal superstar of WCW during the 90s had always said he wouldn’t jump to the WWF / WWE due not knowing how Vince McMahon would use the Sting character, but Steve Borden had a change of heart in 2014. Sting said he always wanted to work at WrestleMania, and Sting would get a chance to perform on the biggest wrestling stage in the United States in 2015.
While the world was clamouring for the dream match of Sting vs The Undertaker, the decision was made to put Triple H in the ring with the former WCW icon. In a decision that many still question to this day, Sting lost his first WWE match against “The King of Kings” at the WWE’s biggest show of the year. Many see this a Vince McMahon still not letting go of his WCW rivalry, and others see this as the WWE trying to prove a point. Still, Sting remained in the company, working 2 more matches on Raw before arriving at Night of Champions 2015. In the main event, Sting would challenge the WWE Champion Seth Rollins. This would also be Sting’s final WWE match (to date).
This video looks at the entire story of WCW’s franchise player finally arriving in the WWE. Topics covered in this video include:

The Story of Sting in WWE
1 168 Shikime 118 mijë
It should of been a faction brawl with a double dq
I'm surprised he went for it, he had to get paid for everything that the WWE did with his face and name on it so he wasn't hurting for money, then they injured his neck with that ridiculous buckle bomb.
Do a video of matches where the wrong person went over.
I will never forgive Vince for his botch booking for Sting in the WWE, but at the same time I marked out seeing Sting in the biggest stage 🤦♂️
Even after their downfall, WWE has continuously dropped the ball by servicing their own egos instead of the fans, and by that I mean HHH and Vince.
Have you done one on Sting's time in UWF?
But I'm also like to say that I Honestly Love professional wrestling tremendously since I was a kid introduced to it by my father I do not wish any harm upon any of them what they do to entertain us and to earn a dollar is incredibly amazing so if they had to retire because he was hurt I totally understand even though it sucks and I have to say that getting old sucks I'm getting up there and even though I'm still young but I'm not getting younger but I won't lie I would love to see Undertaker sting Hogan and many many more come back but unfortunately old age can overthrow even the mightiest Warrior of any race on this planet and unfortunately they all have to step down eventually but it was a great run the memories will live on forever may God bless sting and his family professional wrestling in general because I honestly love professional wrestling I would love to have done it but that ship that sailed but I still love to watch it and I always will be here watching amen and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you who love pro wrestling all of you professional wrestlers past present and future God bless all of you
Let me start by saying I love staying all his career since I was a little kid he's been one of my heroes along with Hogan and so many others
You know when I saw that commercial you talking about about the video game right then and there I knew I told my friend that there was a hundred percent guarantee that sting was going to be in the WWE very soon that same year or at least four years later or few months later but I knew it deep down inside and I never got to see him in the WWE because I didn't have cable so I couldn't wash Ronnie more but at some point when I didn't have it anymore he was already in the WWE and it was awesome I got to see a couple of things that he did but I didn't see him on the show's or anything and I regret that because I love sting
Triple H should have lost to Sting AND Booker T.
Fk Seth rollins
The fact that we never got Sting vs. Taker when they literally had the chance to do so still pisses me off today.
"I wanted to rewind time" butttttt you hit him with a second buckle bomb? Lol wtf man
Seth Is an idiot. Why did he hit another bomb? He screwed up
17:39 WWF Champion? 😂
Sting vs Undertaker in the bone yard match with a ring in the middle would’ve been the way.
That’s damn Seth freakin Rollins. He needs blame too.
I would’ve prefer Sting losing to the undertaker and getting the match we wanted rather then losing to Triple H which was terrible and so lame in everyone’s eyes.
I’m glad sting is in AEW now to further his legacy and not end it on the WWE note. 📝
I never liked any other promotion besides WWF. I was the biggest mark for the Fed. As a youth I favored the colorful characters and storylines. I used to pop open a dirt sheet mag at the local drug store. I’d see Ric Flair and Rick Martel as champs of the NWA & AWA. I hated anything NWA or AWA at the time. For some reason, Sting and Kerry Von Erich (RIP) always looked liked cool ass characters. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought knowing what went on behind the scenes. All that backstabbing and jobbing that goes on in the industry.......dam! Thankfully, these vids have ‘done the job’ of enlightening me and putting me up on game. Side note: seems like the best wrestling videos come from the UK😎👍🏾
I love your work man. You said WWF Champion Seth Rollins at 17:40 lol.
Well, this ain't the end. The only thing for sure about Sting is nothing's for sure!
Did u say wwf champ seth rollins??
Sting is All Elite!!!!!
AEW has him now, can't wait for that wrestling tragedy video
For now except not really. Sting is now All Elite and he is now cleared to wrestle again.
The story of Sting in the WWE can be summed up by one word " DEPRESSING"
Big Fan of your Channel! Hoping to see some Bios on WCW Bookers such as Kevin Sullvian, Dusty, Kevin Nash, some other bios on events like Wargames, Hell in the Cell, Battle Bowls
Sting should of went over at WM, HHH & Vince just wanted to bury WCW last hero and best,,,Sting was robbed, just disrespectful that Sting didnt win, he should of went over
With Sting signed with aew and taker retired wwe dropped the ball
i still want to see undertaker vs sting at wrestlemania is my dream match
Sting in AEW and taker retired when you going to see that
I wanted to see Sting vs HHH...it made more sense to me than Sting vs Taker. I dont think it's so much that it was Seth's second match that night but more so that the buckle bomb is a dumb and dangerous move.
They should have had NWO Wolfpac come out for Sting so it would have made sense...bring the same Nash, Hall, and Konnan. I know Konnan isnt Hogan. I can hear them asking Hogan to wear NWO red and black and him saying "That doesn't work for me brother".
Going to WWE was Sting's biggest mistake, a mistake he took a long time to eventually make.
Alot off ppl whine about not getting sting vs undertaker . I think HHH as the authority made more sense Sting Should have won it tho for it wouldn't have made sense otherwise
This run was booty cheeks...I wonder how he will do in AEW
I must admit the music intro before the words Sting in WWE was awsome with the drumbeats
THEY DAMN NEAR BURIED EVERY WCW/ ECW AND OTHERS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT MAKE THE CHARACTER OR MADE SURE THEIR OWN TALENT GOT OVER AHEAD OF ANYONE ELSE. STING/ TAKER SHOULD OF HAPPENED...IT DID NOT LIKE HOUSTON ROCKETS/ CHICAGO BULLS MATCHUP...ONE OF THE BIGGEST WHAT IFS' THAN NEVER PANNED OUT...I THINK THEY WOULD GO ALL OUT...LEAVE IT ALL IN THE SQUARED CIRCLE LIKE HELL IN A CELL ( MANKIND/ TAKER DID)..IT WOULD OF BEEN GLORIOUSLY EPIC...BUT ONLY IN OUR DREAMS OR VIDEO GAME CAN IT BE. STING SHOWED MANY SIDES OF HIMSELF AS DID UNDERTAKER... BOTH MEN ARE SOME OF THESE G.O.A.T.S' AS PERFORMANCE GOES AND DESERVED THAT CLASSIC MATCH.
U couldnt bring sting in to beat the Taker at Wreslemania in his first wwe match
Seth is better than that though he saw how sting was after the first buckle bomb he should have avoided back targeted moves to be safe and definitly not done another, but as it was his second match of the night maybe he wasn't thinking right.
Seems more like triple H decided Sting would lose at wrestle mania 🤷🏽♂️
having #Sting lose was a horrible call. let him win then lose the next night
You gotta do that Sting in TNA video
His 👀
Too many ego’s and HHH aid just as guilty as Vince.
Robocop should have accompanied Sting to his Wrestlemania match since Hunter was using Terminator.
And Sting was right not to trust Vince he buried him soon as they got him under umbrella
Your videos are great I fine myself rewatching old videos because they are awesome and very informative thx for all your hard and research you do to do these videos

Wrestling is often uniquely terrible at not exploiting heat. It was way too late and nobody cared when it happened.
5 years have gone by, and this match at 31 still burns me up. Completely inexcusable booking. And, of course Rollins had a match with Sting. Good buddy of Hunter's.
They couldn't just give that 1 match at Mania to Sting. Was it the politics back stage? Was it actually Vince being an egotistical ass? I feel like that match should have been easy to do. Put Sting in the spot light, let him win at his first Wrestlemania. The Stinger clearly deserved it, he has a backround that is considered legendary. Plus, the WWE built him up through marketing, and played at the clear idea that Sting was in the process of being brought into the fold. Anyone with a brain could see that clearly. Why go through all that, and not let him have his moment on the grandest stage of them all as the victor. It is so frustrating in hind sight, and sad because of what could have been. The tragedy that struck at Night of Champions makes this whole ordeal so much worse as well...
I will never forgive Seth Rollins for ending the career of one of my childhood heroes.
No worries Stings career has returned
We know that Sting’s WrestleMania appearance was just a middle finger from Vince to WCW and Triple H annoyingly claiming his top spot amongst the boys. But what irked me the most was Sting teaming with the NWO. The black and white NWO was whom Sting fought against. Hulk Hogan was, arguably, his greatest foe. So for them to help out Sting just felt wrong.
It broke my heart what they did to Sting in WWE. It was the final blow that ended 34 years if my love for wrestling.....
HHH beating Sting at WM was Vince officially burying every thing WCW. Funny enough old WCW is the only reason i have WWE network lol.
Personally i am glad Sting never held a WWE title.
Sting should've never went to WWE.
Hhh won tooooo damn many matches he should have never won.
Seth Rollins GOOFY arse "Buckle Bomb". That cheated us out of a bit more time, even if Sting in WWE was thoroughly mishandled.
I feel like the reason the Sting/Taker match didn't happen is because, WWE didn't know his match with Rollins would have been his last match. I feel like if the injury didn't happen, we would have had Sting vs Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.
Is that Conrad Thompson in the stands when sting is pointing the bat a the WrestleMania sign?
I think so.
Hunter should have had a brain and told him in the match he was going to win. Vince would have been mad but it’s sting. Special when they were going to use him against Seth. He needed win to make you feel he was the old sting.
Well Vince eventually screwed him over and had a glorified jobber like hhh go over him. Ridiculous.
It should have been taker vs sting
I have no idea why anybody would want to see Undertaker VS Sting now. The last chance for that to mean anything was 15 years ago. It's waaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too late. It wouldn't be cool at all to do it now. It would be annoying.
Nah wm 31 woulda been okay. But yeah it's too late now. Won't ever happen now thag Taker retired and Sting is in AEW
WCW was inferior, so of course you'd make them look inferior. Guys don't promote from a minor league and constantly dominate, they usually fail or maybe make it to average. And make no mistake about it, WCW was the minor league.
I hate how Vince and HHH treated the legend Sting. He should have never lost at Wrestlemania. I wish he wouldn’t of ever showed up because they treated him like trash.
as a diehard impact wrestling fan, Sting more for the company than whatever money vince threw at sting to join wwe. he was the father of the locker room, he fought alongside some of the guys who would leave for wwe, and TNA/impact became his second home after WCW closed. Impact might of had their issues, but you never once ever question if sting was being buried or punish in impact
I wish Sting had never wrestled for WWE. The WWE jobbed him out to Triple H and Seth Rollins. Predictable.
Stop blaming Vince for this garbage. This decision reeks of HHH and Stephanie all day.
Sting would of been one of the greatest ever if he came in 2002 as big as Taker
If you didn't know how the Triple H vs Sting match would end you clearly don't know Vince McMahons track record with how fairly he treated WCW wrestlers let see a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion DDP made him a stalker another former WCW World Champion Booker T was buried by The Rock and was totally emasculated by the racist overtones of this the promo
I would STILL pay TOP DOLLAR to see Sting vs Undertaker!
WCW was famous for Sting and Goldberg.
Sting should have joined WWE as soon as possible because his time in TNA was a waste.
Steve Borden the legennd and the great wrestler of all the time he's a nice guy
It should be called the way Sting was screwed in wwe. Then to go and lose to hhh smh
Your videos are always dope, it helps me relive my childhood and commemorate memories that are truly defining for a wrestling fan.
Sting v taker shouldve happened
I agree about the second bucklebomb. Whoever called that move, wasn't thinking, AT ALL. I know Sting says it wasn't Seth's fault, and I believe he only says this so Seth isn't constantly booed out of the building. But Seth can be sketchy. Personally, I wouldn't want to work with the guy. Everyone has their opinion.
Sting could do a boneyard type match with taker. Is it what we all wanted? No but it is better than nothing.
I think Hunter would have been ok with putting Sting over but I feel this was 100% a Vince call.
Thanks Seth Rollins.........
One of the best 🦂💯♥️ great work here, greetings from Berlin.
Do Sting TNA career 2003 - 2014 won 1 NWA and 4 TNA world title wins 1 tag team title first inductee in TNA Hof and GM 2012
stings a smart man look at DDP i swear its like they didnt even know the character
Conrad at 14:18 lol
Sting should have won at WrestleMania they buried Sting in WWE
"The only thing for sure about Sting, is nothings for sure." Best words he has ever said. Hey I got a nice request please. The story of the rivalry between Sting and Vampiro
Ahh yes the buckle bomb, great move Colby, you knob head. Maybe don’t hit an old man with a move that you’ve injured other people with.
5:45 So we could have had red hot CM Punk vs Joker Sting in the Summer of Punk? That would have been straight up legendary. The segments alone would have been PPV quality.
Atleast just gave sting and taker in the ring and congratulate each other on their respective careers just to have the image of them two face to face.
please do stings tna run!!!
The masks of comedy and tragedy. Comedy is that by destroying all his WCW competition thru absorbing it or jobbing it out for "disgrace", Vince McMahon destroyed professional wrestling. Vinces only saving grace in wrestling is ironically the Undertaker, the man who played "the big red devil", the greatest of all time. Tragedy is, a man who I looked up to when I was a kid, who has more heart than Hogan ever will, got thrown aside and damn near killed. Steve Borden isn't perfect, has his problems, made changes for the good. You will always be my favorite.... Thank you Sting....Respect. Long live the Icon.
I think it’s pretty easy. Sting vs Taker. No matter who wins, this could be each persons final match. Of course, this is WWE, who intentionally drops the ball on everything.
Sting gave his best years to WCW.....that's what matters
Great video. Knock them out the ball park like Mike Trout!
I can't lie after this I despised Seth. I still don't see the main eventer in him.
Aaaaand just like that Seth Rollins ruined it
