This video compiles 5 D-Generation X Wrestling Bios video to give the complete DX collection.
DX was one of wrestling's most groundbreaking factions, helping to usher in the critically acclaimed "Attitude Era" in the WWF with their brash antics. When founding father Shawn Michaels was forced into an early retirement, Triple H picked up the ball and ran with it, giving us a new DX army featuring The New Age Outlaws, Chyna and X-Pac. This version of DX became extremely popular during 1998 and early 1999, but Triple H's desire to become a standout singles wrestler meant that D-Generation X was eventually put on hold.
DX reunited in 2006 to take on Vince McMahon, this time featuring the original members of Shawn Michaels and Triple H. From here, DX would make make reunions and returns, with the final incarnation of DX happening just before Shawn Michaels' retirement match with the Undertaker.

The 2006 run was my childhood..to me the ruthless aggression era was it for me .and dx was a big part of that
Lol HBK lost to tatanka but kept the belt.
1:11 that’s Jim Carey with his me myself and Irene tash
The caring bench acromegaly reply because skate corroboratively support near a thankful plaster. magenta, defeated single
Do anybody remember New Age Outlaws going at DX from TNA because they reunited the group and didnt get a invite
Miz, Bryan and Edge had a submissions count anywhere match for the US title a bit later on...
DX was the most spectacular thing to come from the attitude era I love em & I love NXT as that's their baby, I wish we had more of their influence in WWE altogether.

After watching this and the nWo bio. I'd love to see an in-depth look at the Kliq. How connected they really all were over the years, what they're up to now, and what they'll be doing in the future.
Greatest walkout music ever.
Great videos man! I was just looking for some old nostalgia, having seen the anniversary of Mankind Hell in The Cell incident on Twitter. So thanks, great to watch
Τaker said otherwise
What did he mean at the end when he said “evil blood money”?
1991? He said he called there name in 1991
When DX tried to invade WCW in that tank, WCW should have sent Meng out to chase DX away, I'm sure they would have run!
This channel is seriously professional and awesome
For a video that came out 3 months ago yall messed up around 21:30 y’all say HBK says there’s no validity to the Undertaker taping his fists in gorilla position story... well everybody on Earth calls HBK a snake and a liar... everybody tells that story, including Undertaker confirming it in a bunch of interviews... and everybody ever says Undertaker is the most respectable guy in the world and is the locker room leader , so who do you believe ?
The Undertaker said this on his second Broken Skulls interview, that aired on November 22nd 2020. This is a compilation video (as clearly mentioned at the start of the upload). "The Story of D-Generation X: 1997 - 2000" (which is where you timestamped) was originally uploaded in November 2019. So yeah... this happens, it's new information that wasn't available at the time the original video was created. A lot can change in a year.

DX just doesnt compete. outside of HBK, it was made of c-list wrestlers. at least hhh got big from it, even tho he still sux ass
Just imagine if Kevin Nash didn't get injured, them Triple H would've been in the NWO. Since he did get injured, we got the Shawn Michaels and Triple H Feud of 2002/2003.
That was awesome
There was another submissions count anywhere at another hell in a cell ppv between daniel bryan, the miz, john morrison
I can’t even lie, I liked the ‘06 remake. it made sense to me to have the “aging rockstar” but I can see how not everyone got it.
we went to a dodgers game back in 98 as a kid ..i was about 9..me and my brother were doing the dx signal and we came back home and our friends told us they saw us on tv swinging our arms lol.
While the DX Army was the best incarnation, and the OG DX was 2nd, I actually liked 2006 DX. Unpopular opinion I know.
The uneven catamaran coincidentally apologise because capital partly rain vice a curved caterpillar. superb, lonely profit
“So Good”
The Outsiders vs Degeneration X; that would've been a helluva tag-team match!
How are we not talking about how corporate kane happened once before
Monday nite wars begins here
but the undertaker said it was true that he was waiting for shawn
The story about taker waiting at the curtain to make sure hbk dropped the title to Austin was actually confirmed to be true by none other then taker himself.
Which came first DX or NWO? Who copied who WWE/F or WCW?
In WCW, HBK and HHH would be known as Shawn Michaels and Paul Levesque as part of the nWo.
Well why wouldn't Shawn use his real name as well?
Starrcade, NWA/WCW WrestleMania, The World Wrestling Federation Bound For Glory, Impact Wrestle Kingdom, New Japan Double Or Nothing, AEW All the Top Tier Pro Wrestling Shows for some of the promotions out there
"Triple H" Hunter Hearst-Helmsley, on October 21, 1996, with help from "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig, became the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion by delivering The Pedigree to "Wild Man" Marc Mero. WWF RAW, Fort Wayne, Indiana, October 21, 1996
If I may with your permission, @WrestlingBios, I have to correct you on Triple H. Triple H's Jobber punishment was officially over the night he became the Intercontinental Champion on October 21, 1996. Vince McMahon, before this, definitely said, "Helmsley, you're about to win the Intercontinental Championship!" That's when his punishment ended.
How I wish I could go back to 1998
35:57 ... When America wasn't full of pussies...
I'm a hardcore HBK fan since the 90's , Shawn was the man while hhh was his arend boy!!!
@Oscar ok longest u get the idea
It's spelled errand.
Man this brings back so many great memories
I was totally going to marry Kevin Nash AND Shawn Michaels 😂😂😂
XzPac and Tori Christmas Story
We can wish for this wish for that. But what we got was the kliq doing what the kliq does....
to w words for a luck up
I got told to suck it (complete with the groin chop) ..... and I couldn’t believe it I was very impressed
The Dogg was the bark and the Gunn was the bite
21:38 however, it has recently come out, while on Steve Austin’s Broken Skull podcast on the WWE Network, the Undertaker said that it did happen, and that he lied to Shawn, because their relationship and Shawn’s attitude had changed so much for the better since then. So I mean, one guy says one thing, another guy says another thing, and as always, when I hear a something that sounds like a good story, that’s probably exactly what it is
Disappointed that the Oct '99 - Aug '00 DX heel run was skimmed over in 30 seconds - this had great moments, feuding with Stone Cold, The Rock, Mick Foley & The Undertaker, some of the New Age Outlaws best matches, The DX Express, The Kane/Tori stuff, Stephanie Mcmahon, The Mcmahon/Hemsley faction, The Run DMC music, alligning with The Radicalz and placing enemies in unfair lumberjack matches, the Billy Gunn injury that changed the face of the tag team division - this was a great time for DX and they were dominating shows in early 2000 and best of all, DX were proper heels here and got some major heat. You should cover this period and upload an updated version of this collection!
great narration Fit Finlay!! SALUTE
Awesome.
21:13 Taker said this is true. Austin vouched for that..
There was actually another submission counts anywhere match, it was at hell in a cell 2010 Daniel Bryan vs Morrison vs The Miz, great video btw
Shawn Maggles
It's like they switched roles In the beginning shawn was the alpha and triple h was The apprentice But later triple H become the alpha and shawn become the partner then now shawn seems to be triple H right hand second in command Thats what it looks like on camera for me
Nice video, always been a fan of Dx. growing up
Any link to when road dogg done that promo 34 mins in ? Good watch this so far 👍🏻👍🏻
Disco could have had a good feud with the godfather in the attitude era. That's about it
The Undertaker was indeed there to make sure that Shawn would drop the title to Austin. Shawn lied when he said that the Undertaker wasn’t even there that evening, it has been confirmed by the Undertaker himself during his second interview on the Broken Skull session with Stone Cold. He said that everyone was very nervous because of Shawn, they thought he wouldn’t drop the title since he kept saying that he didn’t want to do it for Austin. So Vince asked the Undertaker to make sure that Shawn would drop the title to Austin, because they were genuinely worried that he would try to run away with it, and the Undertaker agreed to do it. So here you go, just watch the Undertaker’s second interview on the Broken Skull session to hear him talk about it
DX (d generation x) REST IN PEACE 1988-2015
Shawn could’ve wrestled through 2015 no one would’ve complained
Update, Taker did a interview and confirmed he did indeed stand by the curtain to make sure Shawn droped the title.
Best Wrestling channel on youtube by far! Another homerun!
I have to say I thought DX was at its best with Hunter at the head and the outlaws and X-pac. The Baby Face faction pulling stunts like The WCW invasion and pissing on motorcycles.
is that rocky dennis in the corner 44:30
35:59 God I wish we could go back to the 90s lol
Too funny
😂😂for real
I remember everything about DX. Its hysterical hilariously funny
OG DX - 1997- early 1998 - Excellent ground breaking main event heel faction DX Army - Mid 1998 - early 1999 - A very fondly remembered semi-main event face faction DX first reunion - Late 1999 - 2000 - A HHH heel faction that got off to a fun start but petered out rather quickly DX 2006 reunion - A nostalgia act past its prime but still somewhat enjoyable DX 2009 - Just complete garbage
Haha Jim Cornette was fantastic
97/98 Shawn was the best wrestler ever and he would've remained so for many years had he not been taken out in his prime
No they're fully right to blame the fans. The fans clearly didn't get the joke that DX were just having fun.
Wouldn't have made sense to have DX as heels going against Mr McMahon and Shane who were definitely heels.
The Smoking Gunns would go on to become Adam Page.
Black face is extremely funny...
Loved dx thought xpac and the new age outlaws where my favourite
You should do a video just showing off the best Jim Cornette spots you’ve come across while doing these. I imagine you’ve seen quite a few at this points.
He was quoting Malcolm X
Shawn Michaels needs a biopic.
Saudi Arabia good God
Marking the first....and last time. Plans were scrapped due to lack of Disco inferno.
To be fair to Shawn, I think it wasn't so much people didn't "get" DX 2006 was essentially one massive dad joke. They simply didn't want to accept it wasn't 1997 DX. I don't know you didn't pick up on HHH and HBK going with that angle.
Why Sean Waltman hasn't been cast as Billy The Kid is beyond me.
Your ass better call somebodyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
That brought back so many awesome memories of both the early DX and me and my best friend of old walking the streets crotch chopping everything from oap's to phone boxes... in our early 20's!!!!...great video well put together. Long live the degeneration X
i really loved the end of the dx promo
Shawn has proven you can't believe anything his "Christian" ass says.
DX was only good when HBK was not there..
Regarding the New Age Outlaws forming, it wasn't Shawn's idea. However, bringing them to DX was his idea.
They were suppose to at the end of '97. They even teased it. But, someone shot the idea down. After, Foundation pretty much was gone. Brian Adams left for WCW, leaving DOA a member short. Truth Commission, disbanded after they pushed Kurrgan. The Nation was also in the middle of transitioning phase.
Ginger and community!
I would've enjoyed a heel DX in 06' but I'm glad they were faces...Rated RKO wouldn't have the shine they deserved if DX were heels
Rock-a-Billy and the Roadie really lasted that damn long before becoming the outlaws?! Holy smokes. I seriously remember it being a few weeks only. Goes to show how memorable all that stuff was, huh?
Triple H
I would of loved to of seen Shawn go over to WCW and he would of found out exactly how small of a star he really was
@El Thrashidor In NWO but not WCW Champ he would of been jobbing out to Hogan taking a back seat and Shawn would of hated it
Yeah but if he'd gone over he'd have just been in the nWo and he'd have been fine.
Well his remarks about Savage were ridiculous. Although Savage's best years may not have been in WCW(although some were good) Randy Savage in the WWF was in my opinion one of the top 5 guys in the entire history of the Company! Hell Macho Man Randy Savage honestly can be considered one of the top 5 greatest Wrestling Superstars in the entire history of Pro Wrestling.
Wasn't it in Albany if I remember the night after wm14 . I didn't realize his second formation was born that night. I was there that cage match will forever be in my head. I remember for a few years the night after or second week they would in Albany after wrestle mania . We had royal rumble 92 and new years Revolution06 I believe which edge won his first title that night. Edge also got his name or thought of it while in Albany NY.
It was in Syracuse.
I love your videos !! The images you choose are perfect for the narrative and your delivery is perfect. @11:04 you said 1991 instead of 1997.
I may be in the minority...but I love the idea of the "Spirit Squad".
I will never forget how awesome it was being in my early teens as DX was born and tuning in every week on a Friday night, no spoilers and no idea of what was coming next.
2006 dx is underrated
No love for Aldo Montoya??? That's not just harsh...
Why didnt they run with the owen hart and hart foundation hbk/ dx feud. That would have been brilliant. It would have been owen harts time to shine after bret got screwed.
Nearly everyone was in WCW. By the year's end lol. They dropped the story after the Rumble, and gave Owen a different angle/feud. After Mania.
Triple H led DX was cool. Full stop. However, but NOTHING beats the original HBK led version. For me WrestleMania 14 is always kind of bittersweet since it's basically the last we see of Shawn as an in-ring performer. Obviously he returned; but, for me it was a bitter pill to swallow at the time.
