It's Raw vs Nitro from 3.11.1996 !
We are now months into the Monday Night War as WCW Nitro on TNT takes on WWF Monday Night Raw on the USA Network. WrestleMania XII and Uncensored 96 are coming up soon, and both companies use these shows to add a little hype to the upcoming pay per views. We find out that WCW Uncensored will feature a "Doomsday Cage Match" where The Mega Powers will take on Ric Flair, Lex Luger, Kevin Sullivan and Arn Anderson. More heels would get added on next week's show but for now, it's a 4 on 2 match. Over on Raw, we get a chance to see Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels training for their upcoming 60 minute Iron Man Match at WrestleMania.
Superstars we see in this week's episode include Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Giant, Roddy Piper, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, The Road Warriors, The Undertaker, and we also see the return of one of the very best tag teams in the world!

Raw vs Nitro "Reliving The War": Episode 24 - March 11th 1996

Bret found a tough Mexican wrestler years later in WCW when he was ready to go toe to to with El Dandy, who was a real jam up guy.
El Dandy vs. Matt Hardy vs. Dangerous Danny Doring vs. Edge!
El Dandy is my step dad. We call him Daddy Dandy
ELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNDY!!!!!!!!!
Who are u to doubt el dandy
Aaaa I was going to say sumthing in the same way lol
Back when wrestling was worth watching
Never say "Steiner Recliner" when referring to this version of Scott Steiner. Still, he's already starting to look even more jacked than usual.
Everyone else is looking forward to NWO, but my favorite thing about WCW in late 90’s was the cruiserweight division and The Ayatollah of Rock-and-Rolla!!!
these are great with subtitles lol. "Raw & Nitro" = Ron Nigel
The Hogan hating on this channel is getting worse
@2:17 Finally! Stone Cold has arrived! Stone Cold Steve Austin!!!
Don't worry bro, I have the same bias about the Steiners vs Road Warriors lol
surprise no mention of the Bootyman's finishing move the "High Knee"...
that lumberjack match though xD i forgot how totally out of control it was lol. This is great. I love watching these weekly videos.. but I like to wait till im like 2 episodes behind to watch them...that way i can watch two episodes back to back xD
I didnt realize that the Pillman angle and the Stone cold nickname happend before the outsiders did
I feel like it's wrong to give the point to RAW all because of the montages which had nothing to do with the two wrestling matches. The montages should have just been yes it happened but the score should have been left between the two matches.
Look at Scott here, he is as big as he was as Big Poppa Pump. And this is way before that.
I disagree with that grading on the Austin/Vega match. I always loved their rivalry. There was no real reason for their feud, they just hated each other. It’s perfect and that match wasn’t terrible, definitely better than Hacksaw vs the Giant.
A hell of a week. Rock's debut (dark) match, Austin's Stone Cold debut, and first TV appearance for Henry, while the Steiners and Road Warriors fight for the first time in ages.
Piper: (disgusted with Goldust) I’m done. I've had enough! (Goldust slaps him in the face and taunts him) Jerry "The King" Lawler (and crowd): WHOA! (Piper slaps Goldust back, knocking him to the ground) Whoa! Here we go! I told you! Piper: You want a backlot fight? You want a fight you jerk? Then a fight you got and you know what? I'm gonna make a man out of you! (Throws microphone at Goldust and leaves the ring.)
I love this host! He makes every episode awesome!👍
Just caught up with the last four weeks of these. Great content!
This is nothing but a Bootyman hit piece
Love the channel man. Especially these "Reliving the War" segments. Brings back a lot of memories.....anyway, big fan. Keep up the good work!
I feel like a lot of these points for raw are only justified with hindsight. You need to ask how entertaining and significant some of these segments would have actually been live.
Austin wearing his Hollywood Blonde's boots.
"it was supposed to make viewers feel uncomfortable" 😂 That same excuse wouldn't be used by most podcasts if it was a disliked wrestler who said it.
Back in 1996, i did nt understand why WWF brought José Lothario with HBK. He came out of nowhere and that seemed to have no interest.
Road Warriors vs Steiner brothers on live TV. Seems like a dream match
Could you run a tally of the ratings wins as well, next to your rating tally?
Savio Vega was a huge waste of time
Another great episode but I think this week should have been a tie. The Luger Wright match should have gotten a point for nitro
Only recently found this channel and this playlist, binge watched it all and up to date. Great vids, hope this continues all the way until Vince buys wcw 👌👌
This series is going to be going for a long time and I love it!
Wasn't Pourteau eventually called "The Pug" later on, and was used as a little more than just enhancement? I'm pretty sure there was even a short article on him in WWF magazine in the "Making The Grade" section one time along with Mark Henry in his American Flag leotard.
👌
Another amazing video keep up the amazing work bro much love from south Carolina been here since episode 1
Hey talk about Ernie Ladd
this was a great Week! so many memorable moments!
What Bret Hart had said about Mexican wrestlers would not slide in today's world. The media outlets and the liberals would throw all types of labels at him like they did with Trump.
Thanks for making these i kinda started to miss a lot of this when I was younger. Didn't start watching again until the attitude era was well into its glory days. I do remember that stupid dog on WCW.
You need to a video on Molly Holly
I am seriously enjoying this channel, keep up the good work and stay safe please xoxo
Look at the talent at the end of Raw!!!!
Road Warriors vs Steiner Brothers 2 of the Best Tag Teams ever
Fact: Austin switched to the shorter black boots because he thought it would help him with his drop kick😆
Quit watching WWF for I think a year over Gold dust cuz I hated gold dust
No one has any idea what lies ahead, with the upcoming authentic heel turn from Hogan, and the formation of the NWO. 🤘🏾
cool new intro video
So many people jumped ship around this time
Totally forgot that Luger held the TV title.
Love this show!
Herald to adventure, great music and really set the mood.
Ever since I found this channel, I completely quit watching Wrestelamia, What Culture Wrestling, and Wrestling With Wregret.
Goddamn, Nitro is faltering, thanks to Hogan & Booty Man matches, lmao! Please tell me, that next week's Nitro main event, does NOT feature the Booty Man, lol, I really hope it doesn't! I was watching around this time, but i can't recall what the main event for the 3-18-96 show was.
I love how Dustin made his own legacy rather than riding on his fathers coat tails.
True In WCW for a time he was called the New American Dream though
Poor Ted Dibiase Jr Dumbass WWE tried so hard to make him Million Dollar Man 2.0 It was terrible Ruined a promising career
yuuup, very underrated
Savio helped Austin get over with their strap match at in your house beware of dog
The jobber who fought hhh is named Ben Greer not Vin Greer
Love when Ric Flair goes full Nature Boy Mode can‘t wait for Ric Flair going crazy in 1998 because of Bischoff
I actually enjoyed watching the lumberjack strap match. It was utterly chaotic and overbooked - reminiscent of the tongue in cheek approach of old school mid western rasslin. The best parts for me: 1. when Hogan accidentally (?) whipped Savage on the back, and 2. when a kneeling Flair had his wide-open mouth too close to Hogan's crotch area.
1:56 for Pepe Mcmichael
Oh God, I'm getting horrible flashbacks to the Doomsday Cage Match. That's honestly the worst match I've ever seen, ever.
Savio “under rated worker” Vega
Everyone's excited about the birth of the NWO, meanwhile I can't wait to see heel Stone Cold in his prime in late '96, early '97..
In the thumbnail, Rick Steiner looks like Johnny Upton from "Slapshot".
Despite all the hate. Michael's and Hart put on nothing but classic matches. You have to at least trust who you work with in this business. They didn't even like each other.
I think if Eddy..Chris and Dean were booked ..Nitro would've won...But that's just me..🤷🏽♂️
Were the Godwin's like an original Wyatt family? Just not as mysterious
Loving the series pal. From one Irish fanatic (particularly Golden-Attitude era) to another, great job!
🔥🔥🔥
Steve is wearing his Hollywood Blondes boots
I gotta watch that lumber jack match.
Alex Wright was a gifted wrestler with a great look. shame his nationality seemed to hold him back in the US
Were two months away from the debut of Scott hall and Kevin nash
Come on come on wrestling bios! move to the Music, move to the music!
LMAO...you think HHH was ever gonna allow A JOBBER some offense? He couldn't bury that guy fast enough!
Who was hotter marlena or Kimberly paige hmmm...
Road warriors vs Steiner's should have been pay per view money match
Kimberly Paige was hot as hell.
I wait for this show every week 💪🏿
World strongest man = worlds biggest jobber
Alex Wright was one of those mainstay midcard guys who was prevalent for years on WCW tv, just always there, seeing him gives me Nitro nostalgia. Could you do a video on his career?
@Harvey McElroy If Buff Bagwell, The Shockmaster, Robocop and The Yeti can get the bio treatment, what is wrong with Das Wunderkind having one? What would you like to see Harvey, an in depth career overview of The Kiss Demon or the Ding Dongs?
Wow Raw is actually starting to catch up to Nitro in the final score.
Hulk Hogan was a good ass friend 😂
I'm not watching this series, but it's in my recommended. I just wanted to say that for the first time (that I recall anyway) I couldn't tell by the pictures in the thumbnail which one was "Raw" and which one was "Nitro."
I like the closeup of Mongo's dog in the ridiculous costumes.
I usually agree with you most of the time. But not tonight.
Thank you so much for this channel. As a funny side note, I feel this should have been a tie this week. Not only should nitro get a point for the segment but raw should have had one point taken away for the donkey kicks. Lol
You might all disrespect The Booty Man, but there is one thing you can’t take away from him, and that is he is a main event draw when The Booty Man was with Hogan, but still a main event draw nonetheless.
The more I watch this series the more my dislike for Hogan grows. He ruined so many good things because he was a prick.
Fun fact until Bret got to WCW Bret used to take a lot of shots at Mexican wrestling.
Too much flipping and jumping around?
The lumberjack strap match shows us what a hybrid Regal's "Blueblood" and "Man's man" gimmicks would look like.
You call them lumberjacks, I call them my Boy Stable
"Where is Eddie Guerrero?" He'll be back by Uncensored
You're inability to judge these based on head-to-head competition is disappointing. Stop looking at these matches and wrestlers through "what they'll end up being" and start to compare them week vs week.
Who was worse Hogan or Cena? In terms of burying talent.
Hogan. Hands down
Farout at the end as soon as "where is Eddie Guerrero" was said I thought, yeah fair enough we haven't seen him for a few weeks now and during that time RAW has managed to close the gap to just 1 point, coincidence... I think not!! R.I.P. Eddie Guerrero
10:00 nobody will EVER nail such an "unnatural" (in terms of their personal demeanor) gimmick like rhodes did gold dust . . . Ever. More young guys would have gimmicks that "work" if they put that kind of effort into it. Dudes a legend.
Damn Road Warriors vs Steiner Brothers what a dream tag match!!
I would've actually given Giant vs Duggan and Wright vs Luger the points here, but that's just my opinion.
Yep. Raw is only getting some of those points because we live in the future and know what's going to happen.
Is Savio Vega one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time? He shows up so much and usually has a great match
I loved his spinning kick
Scott Steiner almost looks human here
That's the one Brother, Hogan and The Booty Man are ready for some serious hanging and banging brother!!!
I very much enjoy this series, but I think you're wrong on this show. Kinda felt like you came up with a lame excuse so you wouldn't have to call it a tie since there were only 4 segments.
